COVID-19 Service Delivery at CMHA Health Centre
Primary Care
Our primary care team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses continue to provide health care to CMHA Health Centre clients. To keep everyone safe, we are delivering virtual visits through telephone and video chat, as well as in-person care for your care needs. If you are unsure what appointment you need, please call us at 519-971-0116 and our team will work with you to decide best options. You can also refer to our COVID-19 services information here for guidance.
Therapy Services
Therapy appointments are being offered virtually through telephone and video chat as well as in-person depending on mental health concerns. To ensure we are assisting clients to the best of our ability, we are also connecting eligible clients to community resources such as the Bounce Back program and providing tools for clients to utilize from the comfort of their home. Groups such as Overcoming Anxiety and Overcoming Depression run periodically throughout the year based on interest and participation. Groups take place online or in-person based on COVID-19 public health recommendations.
Nutrition Services
Our dietician continues to provide nutritional services and diabetes education to CMHA Health Centre clients. These appointments are being offered virtually through telephone, as well as in-person as requested and nutritional webinars are being done on Zoom. We are happy to share that our webinars are available to the public, which means you do not need to be a CMHA Health Centre client to participate.
Smoking Cessation Support
Our nurses continue to offer smoking cessation to support through one-on-one counselling and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). All intakes and support for smoking cessation takes place by telephone or in-person; NRT can be safely picked up at our Centre by appointment only. Our Health Promoter continues to provide virtual group support based on interest and participation.
Physical Wellness
We are pleased to offer no-cost virtual yoga that you can do from the comfort of your home. There is no need to attend a studio! Facilitated by yoga instructor Stacey Easton, tune in live the first two Fridays of every month at 10:30am on Facebook Live for an hour of stretching, mindfulness, gratitude and physical wellness.
