The Primary Care Asthma Program (PCAP) is an evidence-based asthma program intended to provide primary care providers with decision aids to support best practice regarding asthma assessment, diagnosis and management. The asthma care program is delivered within a multidisciplinary team of primary care providers with the support of a Certified Asthma Educator. Breathe Easy (smoking cessation)
Breathe Easy is an 6 week smoking cessation program which offers support and education to adults who are either trying to cut down on the number of cigarettes smoked, and/or wish to quit smoking altogether. Topics covered include: the benefits of quitting, goal setting, identifying triggers, the effects of smoking on health, stress management and lifestyle options. Socially Speaking Group
This is a six week group for persons who because of a chronic illness find it difficult to be in social settings and desire to actively increase their comfort level. Examples of group themes will include: living mindfully, developing a relationship with self, conversation skills, assertiveness skills, healthy boundaries, and relaxation skills. Yoga for Healthy Living
A beginner’s yoga class which focuses on breathing, calmness and stress reduction. Health benefits include increased flexibility, strength, better breathing and body awareness. Tai Chi Easy/Qi Gong

This is a 8 week psycho-educational group for new mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression. We will explore the nature of postpartum depression, and utilize cognitive behavioural and interpersonal therapy techniques, combined with relaxation and meditation skills to reduce depressive symptoms.
